2012 Ogopogo Invitational Wrestling Tournament
DATE: Saturday January 7, 2012
TIME: Competition for Grade 7 - 12 starts at 9:00 AM
Competition for Grade 2 - 6 starts at 9:30 AM
PLACE: Sensisyusten Community Center, 1920 Quail Lane, West Kelowna, B.C.
ENTRY FEE: $20 per athlete
Any changes (not scratches) to your entries after Friday 7:00 PM will be an additional cost of $10 per athlete.
Cheques made payable to COWA are to be handed in at the Drawmaster's table before the tournament begins.
Wrestlers must be members of BCWA or their home provincial or state wrestling association or they will not be allowed in the tournament.
INDIVIDUAL AWARDS: Medals for top 3 places
TEAM AWARDS: Boys, Girls and Elementary team trophies based on:
1st – 10 pts.
2nd – 7 pts.
3rd – 5 pts.
4th – 3 pts.
5th – 2 pts.
6th – 1 pt.
Only top placing per school or club, per weight class count for team points.
Only top ten placings count for team points except in the case of a tie.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (Grade 7 to 9)
2 minute periods
WEIGHT CATEGORIES WOMEN: 36, 40, 43, 47, 51, 54, 57, 60, 64, 69, 69+
WEIGHT CATEGORIES MEN: 38, 41, 45, 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 63, 66, 70, 74, 78, 78+
SECONDARY SCHOOL (Grade 10 to 12)
2 minute periods
WEIGHT CATEGORIES WOMEN: 43, 47, 51, 54, 57, 60, 64, 69, 69+
WEIGHT CATEGORIES MEN: 45, 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 63, 66, 70, 74, 78, 84, 90, 90+
Wrestlers can wrestle only in one weight category and age group.
Exhibition matches are allowed for wrestlers with less than three matches. Sheets for these matches can be picked up at the drawmaster area.
CONCESSION: A concession will be available at the tournament.
