About Me
Central Okanagan Wrestling Association
This is the place where all wrestlers from Lake Country, Kelowna, West Kelowna and Peachland area meet to wrestle. Wrestlers represent the club in club tournaments and their school in school tournaments. Size does not matter in this sport because there are weight classes. This is the only combative sport sanctioned by BC School Sports. No one sits on the bench!
The Central Okanagan Wrestling Association (COWA) provides various local programs to promote the sport of Olympic wrestling. In our club’s role as a local non-profit society, we reaffirm our commitment to the community by promoting positive values in our athletes. These values include teamwork, commitment to a goal, hard work, striving for excellence, fair play, and respect for others. Free training of coaches, managers, on mat officials and drawmasters will be provided to interested volunteers. Additional volunteer opportunities exist on our Board, on various committees and in supportting our annual tournaments.
The objectives of the society are:
1. To promote and develop the sport of amateur wrestling;
2. To maintain good sportsmanship, intergrity and fellowship;
3. To foster, facilitate and direct activities beneficial to elementary school, middle school, secondary school and post secondary men and women.
We are located at #4 - 685 Finns Road, Kelowna BC
